Prayer Letter November 2023
Dear Prayer Partners:
People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them. Mark 10; 13–16
The above reading from Mark is a beautiful reading. It draws a picture of Jesus welcoming children, hugging them and blessing them with his hands. It is a story of welcome and great love. It is a story reflecting the preciousness of all children in the eyes of Jesus.
What a contrast this story is to the ugliness of the story of traffickers with children and young people. It is the contrast between good and evil, light and darkness, love and abuse.
In the October prayer letter I asked for prayer to rid the world of trafficking.
