Prayer Letter January 2024

Dear Prayer Partners:

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gen­tle­ness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about any­thing, but in every sit­u­a­tion, by prayer and peti­tion, with thanks­giv­ing, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which tran­scends all under­stand­ing, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Paul encour­ages us all to go forward into the future knowing that God is with us and is taking care of all that could cause us to be anxious.
Minnie Louise Haskins pre­am­ble to her poem “God Knows” has the same thought—
“And I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year:
“Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown”. 
And he replied: 
“Go out into the dark­ness and put your hand into the Hand of God.
That shall be to you better than light and safer than a known way”. 
So I went forth, and finding the Hand of God, trod gladly into the night.”
As we in Ohfi go forward into 2024 we sur­ren­der the orga­ni­za­tion into the hands of God trust­ing in Him to lead us, to give us His wisdom and com­pas­sion, and to provide all that we will need to bless the chil­dren and fam­i­lies and com­mu­ni­ties we support.
Let us go into the year with con­fi­dence entrust­ing every­thing into God’s care.
